The Now & Then Show #3 from June 5, 1985 The third Now & Then Show was produced in Mendocino, CA on June 5 and aired on June 7, 1985. This third show, as in every show, starred Odd Bob Avery. The music was again provided by the Now and Then Orchestra featuring orchestra leader Lewis Demetri, harmonious bassist Bugs Anderson and guitarist extraordinaire, Garth Beckington. The featured guests included: writer/playwright Stan Barr, and Eleanor Cooney interviews audience members of Stan Barrs play, “Twin Peaks”; Irish Ex-pat/rookie Comedian Declan Phelan tries out his humor for the first time, and the fabulous Alto Sisters Betty and, Phaedra Savage played their saxophones with the orchestra. There is also a music video from Larry Fuente and Mike L Evans entitled “Cadillac Ranch” which portrayed one of Larry Fuentes journeys in his art car, the “Mad Cad.” Lewis, Bugs and Garth also continued co-writing with Mike L Evans satirical advertisements for the breaks in the show, a couple more of which are in this episode. The wives of both Bugs and Garth are featured in a couple of the commercial breaks, Hillary is seen in the “New Clear” Power Pack segments and, the near term, pregnant, artist wife of Bugs, Button Quinn was featured in the “Kid Bone Snacks” segment with her daughters, Manuka and Ruby, and Hillarys daughters Jessie and Eloise. The soon to be born Savannah is still inside Button Quinn. Comedians, Doug Nunn and Tracy Burns appear again in the “Shaky Flakes” segment. Garth ends the show with a rendition of “Kansas City” accompanied by the Alto Sisters on Sax. https://youtube/watch?v=FF5gARtCoKM
