The Now & Then Show #4 from June 27, 1985 The fourth Now & Then Show theme “Amerika” was produced in Mendocino, CA on June 27 and aired on June 30, 1985. This fourth show starred Odd Bob Avery. The music was again provided by the Now & Then Orchestra featuring orchestra leader Lewis Demetri, harmonious bassist Bugs Anderson and guitarist extraordinaire Garth Beckington. The featured guests included: Uncle Sam (Steve Weingarten), The Statue of Liberty (Bobbi Markels) and President Ronald Reagan (Tim Poehlmann). The special musical guest was recording artist Tommy Tutone Heath singing his hit songs, “867-5309” and “Get around Girl.” As if history never changes, The N&T Show is hijacked at the end by members of the TVLF (TeleVision Liberation Front) played by Larry Fuente, Maynard Kaminski, Sally Stewart and GAnna Dennis. Greg Hillman ends the show with a S.T.O.P. TV News report about the hijacking. Lewis, Bugs and Garth also continued co-writing with Mike L Evans satirical advertisements for the breaks in the show, a couple more of which are in this episode including another Rock & Roll Police segment featuring Larry Fuente and Lewis, Bugs and Garth. https://youtube/watch?v=-j4udjigNKI
