The Nuit Report for the week of Sept 19: The Equinox and the Mirror of Other. It is Fall Equinox time here in the Northern Hemisphere (Spring in the south), and Persephone begins to make Her descent into the Land of Shades. The Sun moves into Libra on Monday, coinciding within two hours with the forward motion of Pluto, Persephones Lord, out of the depths to claim Her. The greenery of the world begins to die as Demeter mourns the loss of Summer. But what is the work that Persephone needs to achieve? She becomes Sovereign, Queen of Shadows. Bringer of Light and Dread Goddess of Destruction all at ONCE! We get a chance now to see that which is not yet conscious through the people in our lives. We can look at them as, simultaneously, mirrors of self AND whole Universes unto themselves. Tricky business, eh? But this is the task as we continue to move forward into this New Aeon. What are the people around us trying to show us? What do we reject, condemn, become overwhelmed by? What do we long for, pedestalize, wish we could be like?
