The OSCE (Organization for Security and Co-Operation in Eurpope) was established in 1975 (Helsinki Final Act) and has 57 participating States from Europe, Central Asia and North America and is a forum for countries to maintain a political dialogue and to seek solutions together on areas such as conflict prevention, crisis management and post-conflict rehabilitation. All EU member states are members of OSCE. Other notable countries include Canada, USA, Russian Federation, Turkey and the Balkan states.
