The OT tells of a mighty cherub named Lucifer, who once had a regal association with Earth, and even suggests that his sphere of influence may have covered nine planets in total. If that is a correct understanding, then Lucifer once ruled the Solar System. He certainly had a throne, according to the prophet Ezekiel, and a throne of course, speaks of kingship and dominion over others. More than that, the prophet Isaiah charges him with being the destroyer of cities, and holds him responsible for the world becoming a wilderness, which is exactly how it’s described in the 2nd verse of Genesis. Now, the world being turned into a wilderness, would obviously amount to a major event in Earth’s history, yet although it’s alluded to in several places, the actual event itself is not recorded in the Bible. Why not? Logically the answer has to be something along these lines. Because the Bible is primarily a revelation of God’s redemptive plan and purpose for this present age, that began around 7,000 years ago with Adam, then the historical events concerning Lucifer must have occurred prior to this age; or in other words, back in the time period between the first two verses of Genesis.
