The October issue of Opera magazine brings praise for summer performances for many on the Guy Barzilay Artists roster: David Adam Moore in Dead Man Walking with Des Moines Metro Opera: David Adam Moore as Joseph De Rocher embodied both rage and terror in his strong and musical baritone, as the convicted murdered progresses from anger to guilt to redemption. Stephanie Lauricella and Wayne Tigges in Le comte Ory, as also with Des Moines Metro Opera: Stephanie Lauricella as Isolier..., both making debuts here, exhibited impressive comic timing as well as impressive vocalism. Wayne Tigges (Orys tutor)...filled out the thrilling, over-the-top septet that Rossini built into his first-act finale. Sinéad Mulhern in Le nozze di Figaro with Central City Opera: ...her Countess retained and admirable nobility, and her two arias emerged with sympathetic sincerity.
