The Office of the Public Defender, yesterday, hosted an award ceremony for their Nationwide Essay Competition. Six young persons were recognized for their participation. The Competition had two categories which targeted two age groups; 13 to 17 and 18 to 25 and was aimed at increasing young persons’ awareness of the fundamental rights as well as the Disabilities Act. The Jamaica Information Service was a main sponsor of the Competition. #JISPR #OPD #humanrights
