The Official entry list for the 2013 Rally Victoria, the final round of the East Coast Bullbars Australian Rally Championship has now been released. 33 teams will contest the ARC event, with the popular Classics including 5 separate makes, and 7 different models, leading the field. Headed by Neal Bates/Coral Taylor in the Toyota Celica RA40, they’ll be keen to stay ahead of the Victorian crew Grant Walker/Correne Seabrook in the Ford Escort RS1800 and Ben Barker/Damien Long in the BMW 320is. In the main Championship, 13 different models, from 10 manufactures form the basis of the 17 teams who’ll be battling it out for outright event honours. Warragul locals Glen Raymond & Matt Raymond in the Mazda RX7 are expected to be hot on the pace of the Honda Jazz of Eli Evans & Glen Weston. Of course he’ll have to get past the experienced and fast paced Scott Pedder/Dale Moscatt pairing in the Renault Clio R3, who will be pushing hard for an outright event win, whilst keeping a close eye on team mates Tom Wilde/Bill Hayes who have the proven speed. Brendan Reeves makes a return in the Mazda 2, this time with New Zealander Glenn Macneall calling the notes. Reeves fresh from his Rally America 2wd Championship win, will be looking to carry that form, and secure a solid result during the final round of the Australian Championship. In the 4wd National series, the Victorian crew of Warren Lee/David Lethlean will be out hard at it, in an effort to keep the NSW crew of John Mitchell/Jo Cadman & ACT crew Michael Harding/Julie Boorman at bay. Of course with challenges from WA crew Robert Webber/Greg McPherson & Doug Tostevin/Tammy Adams, the pace will be far from sedate. Keeping all the traditional rally teams honest will be Cody Crocker/Greg Foletta & Michael Guest/David Green in the Polaris & CanAm respectively, leading the charge for the Side by Side Rally Challenge. Saturday will see 30 Victorian crews join in on the event as Tristan Penhall/Jolie Middleton try to hold off any challenges from the brother/sister team of Steven Kenway & Lauren Palmer. Further down the field in the Grant Walker Rally Series, Gerard Blum/Richard Gill will be right on the limit, as they try and keep the Excels of Viv Dilkes-Frayne/Doug Fernie and Daniel Anderson/Mathew Anderson for securing the 2013 Series win.
