The Old Cowboy has now waddled back into the place and is parked for a few moments at the computer. At the Freetown Road Church of Christ this morning the auditorium Bible class was outstanding, and David Thurman presented a great sermon/lesson during the worship time. After that my 80 year old friend Ray and his bride invited me out to lunch. Rays the one with the big Texas Chevy Silverado pickup with the TV camera gun sight pointed backwards and the handicap sticker. I noticed when we left the Arlington Police Department had graciously assigned patrolmen to help get us through each intersection safely. I figured today was something special because when we were getting out of the truck at the Texas Roadhouse his bride gave him his allowance. I got a little nervous when she handed me her purse. I think I know why Ray behaves so well. That purse felt like it either had a bowling ball or a twenty pound brick in it. Tonight after worship is the ice cream social...I will be in attendance.
