The Older I Get It seems that the older I get, the luckier I get. When I was younger, something would come up missing and for the life of me, I couldnt find it. Very frustrated. Now, I still lose things, but, they turn up so fast after Ive already resolved that it wont turn up at all. I used to have a certain (probably normal) fear of failure and now, more things succeed beyond my expectations. I spent years wondering if I was too fat, too skinny (when I was waaaay younger :)) and if I was very good looking. Then, I was married for nearly 3 decades and even though I still cared about my appearance it certainly wasnt the priority it had been when I was younger. Then a divorce certainly changed how I thought about myself again. And now, lets just say, for some strange reason, I get more interested parties than I really care to have. Im not bragging and even appreciate the show of interest from those Im sure Id never be interested in. Nonetheless, it just seems ironic. No one ever commented on my charm or attractiveness until I came to China. Now, theres more that comment on something I never knew I had, than I could have ever dreamed. Last, but certainly not least, as much as I enjoyed being a minister/pastor for 15 years of my life and doing what really fulfilled my heart (minus all of the haters of pastors/ministers), Im loving doing what Im doing now half way around the world. How interesting these times are as I get older.
