The Olympics; a time where nations come together for peaceful displays of athleticism. . . . After the Russians and Islamists get done killing each other and everyone around them. . . . One has to wonder why the IOC keeps sending the games to places like this. Asia Minor, the Middle East, Africa: These places should be considered like no mans land to the Olympics. Before you dismiss this as theres Burks, being an asshole grumpy pants again ponder this: How many human beings have lost their lives or been seriously injured/maimed in the past month in the name of cleaning up Sochi ahead of the games? And then ruminate over this: If the games had been held in, say, Stockholm, would the outcome have been the same? If the answers you arrived at were I dont care and yes, then you are a tool bag asshat unworthy of being accused of cognitive thought and reasoning skills. If you came up with the answers too many and probably not then you have arrived at a position that proves my point. (Everyone is thinking it. Im just saying it. And some things need to be said).
