The Olympics committee says no thanks to DC, and Im disappointed because I was looking forward to the following sports being added to the mix: These are just a few; feel free to add!!! 1) Complete and total gridlock (see which athlete gets stuck in traffic the longest, and how long does it take an athlete to submit legislation that will go nowhere) 2) marathon stair climbing (the fun continues with trying to find out which athlete can climb the escalator stairs the fastest at the deepest metro stops that always break down - Dupont Circle, Rosslyn, among others) 3) A Day at a DC govt office (find out which athlete survives a day at the DMV or getting a permit to fix something without losing their mind) 4) The clash of the midget titans posing as gladiators (find out which side of the political aisle wins the debate over whatever theyre discussing that day) 5) Single tracking speed skating, along with water main pipe flooding water rafting on 14th street 6) Racing like Cinderella to catch the last train at midnight 7) Pedestrian power jaywalking on M Street and Wisconsin Ave in Georgetown on Friday night (see which athlete escapes sure death by running in front of bus)
