The One (1) Million People Meeting In Luneta is an Opportunity for the President ! There was really no need to change the stand from Yes to Pork Barrel to No. If I were on the Yes side and I have even less than 1 % of the resources of the President, and assuming I stood as the President, here is what I would do today until a million people are present in Luneta. Aug. 24 - I will tell media (maybe all TV Stations) to arrange a Press Conference for the Filipino People in Luneta. The sound system should reach even the farthest to the center of that Press Conference. Let them bring television sets for those who are too far to see a discussion panel on the stadium. Aug 25. Sunday, Rest Day. Time to Worship then rest. Aug.26. If the weather is good. Invite all those interested to march to Luneta. If not, help the organizers find a way to re-schedule with closer coordination with Pag-Asa. For those present in Luneta, whether the weather is good or bad, I will use a very small part of my Intelligence Funds to invite and fund 10,000 food vendors to cook something to eat (maybe first class Pancit Canton + Bread) and prepare something to drink (palamig). Those hungry and thirsty can ask for food and drinks. And the vendor can insert enriched Pancit Canton in the bread then drink. If the weather is good or bad, the Press Conference should continue. This will be my opportunity to EDUCATE the public about Pork Barrel and to draw out from anybody who wants to speak up in the NO panel what it is they do not like about the Pork Barrel. The Yes side representing the President should clarify slowly but surely what Pork Barrel really is and what appears to be the "hated" elements of the Pork Barrel. Towards the point of clarifications, the end result should be a Win-win situation. "Come now, let us reason together, says the Lord. Though your sins are like scarlet , they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool." --- Isaiah 1:18 And most probably, the people will be more enlightened and happier at the end of the day. If the weather is bad, on top of Aug. 26 meeting between the Filipino People and the representatives of Malacanang, we can do it again another day !
