The Only Birthday Gift I Desire, Vote APC – Sen. @bukolasaraki @kwara247 SENATOR Bukola Saraki, Chairman, House Committee on Ecology and All Progressives Congress(APC) Leader in Kwara State during the weekend in Ilorin told his supporters that the only birthday gift expected from them was to vote massively for APC in the 2015 general elections. Speaking shortly after a special prayer to mark his 52th birthday and presided over by Chief Imam of Ilorin, Alhaji Muhammad Bashir, the lawmaker said there was no birthday gift he would cherish from any of them now than their votes for all the party candidates. According to him, “there is no any birthday present that you can give me that will gladden my heart than to vote APC massively in the coming general elections”. He also appealed to his supporters to shun sentiments and vote massively for the party with a view to contributing immensely to the birth of a new Nigeria. His words: “what is happening all over the country at the moment does not call for celebration. So, we are going to celebrate next year after we have taken over the government. “So, do not allow anyone to deceive you, APC is the answer to the Nigeria problem. Our candidates are the change agents that can make the change that Nigerians yearn to happen”. Saraki also advised the people to remain focused and committed to the party, saying that the opposition party had nothing to offer the country. He also hailed the process of nominating the party’s presidential running mate, saying it was a litmus test to test the strength of the party. He therefore hailed each and every member that showed interest in the party’s presidential running mate for their patriotism and maturity, explaining that the process attested to the fact that the party was capable of providing leadership Nigerians yearn. The lawmaker advised all party members with ambitions to make the party’s interest first at the moment with a view to ensuring its growth. The special prayer was attended by the state Governor, Alhaji (Dr.) Abdulfatah Ahmed, Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Barrister Rasak Atunwa, members of the State House of Assembly, members of the state executive council, state APC chairman, and party members from both far and near.
