The Only Way Well Ever Know Anything 1 Corinthians 1:25 For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength. (shared & adapted from ptl.org) who writes: So how do we know the wisdom and strength of God when we see and hear it? Simple, its in the preaching of Christ crucified. For example, this past Sunday the world was full of the display of Gods power as churches everywhere proclaimed the Gospel. When Christ crucified and resurrected is preached, believers are edified, sin is revealed and forgiven, and un-belief is converted. Yet the hearts of the unrepentant are also hardened -- all by the same message. The power of God over every human heart and life is revealed by the foolishness of preaching Christ crucified. In our passage today Paul tells us, The foolishness of God is wiser than mans wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than mans strength. Absolutely! The Cross will always turn the worlds understanding upside down. Those who would know the power and wisdom of God must seek it first in the foolishness of Christ crucified. Thats the only way well ever really know anything. God is pleased by being known, showing His power, and revealing His wisdom through the foolishness of preaching. Did you bow your head before the wisdom and power of God lately ? That is what i am doing... ALOHA !
