The Operating Status for Tinker Air Force Base for Thursday 1 Jan. 3rd shift (grave/mids) and for Friday 2 Jan. 1st shift (days) is Open with Liberal Leave Authorized. This Operating Status is effective from 6 p.m. on Thursady, 1 Jan. When base officials authorize Liberal Leave, employees not designated as weather emergency essential, may take annual leave or leave without pay (LWOP) without prior approval of their supervisors. However, they are still required to notify their supervisors that they are taking leave. Any changes in Operating Status will be first announced on the Tinker Face Book page as well as on local radio and television stations. It will also be updated on the Straight Talk Line. For clarification of individual duty requirements, contact your immediate supervisor. Do not call Base Operations, the Command Post, Security Forces or other emergency response agencies for base operating status information.
