The Origin of Belief in God in Africa exist and play crucial role in that mode of existence which they belong and on humans on earth. There are divergent views of scholars as per the origin of religion in Africa but three important views exist which are; 1. Through reflections on the universe, Africans came to believe in God. 2. Through realization of their own limitations Africans came to believe in God. 3. As Africans observed the forces of nature, they came to believe in God. Thus religion has been very integral to human development, through the sands of time. To promote gender equality and empower women, is critical thinking into African beliefs a necessary enterprise for women/child right promotion? NB : Any response is to be carried out with a sense of an examination of validity rather than the exposure of invalidity.
