The Outreach Ministry Team wants our congregation to once again - TopicsExpress

The Outreach Ministry Team wants our congregation to once again get involved in a different program. This time we are not asking for donations, but rather for your time and compassion to mentor a single mother to find affordable housing for herself and her children. We are looking for a mentoring group of 10 to 12 people, preferably an intergenerational group, parents and grandparents who have children that could interact with the candidate and her children. What it takes is a group of dedicated people to assist the family in various ways while the mother finishes her education, and/or finds a job - in other words to be a friend to the mother and her children. We are not asking for funds. Bridge of Hope operates mostly on donations by churches and individuals, but an important part of what Bridge of Hope does is mentoring a family. The mentoring group will get training by Bridge of Hope personnel before a candidate is selected. We will hear more about that from Francesca J. Crane, Executive Director. You may address any questions to Otto Schaudel or Dave Creighton.
