The PAP Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Special Interest Group (PAP MHPSS SIG) would like to remind responders on the appropriate interventions that should be given to survivors. Just as the PAP urged the community to use PFA in the aftermath of Typhoon Yolanda, we are asking everyone to use Psychological First Aid for Typhoon Ruby survivors. PFA is a humane and practical assistance for survivors of natural and man-made disasters. This approach is recommended by the World Health Organization, War Trauma Foundation, World Vision International, and other humanitarian agencies. Resources can be found in the PAP website.
