The #PASenate just passed an important pension reform bill with my strong support. Senate Bill 922, introduced by Senator Mike Brubaker, will move elected officials - including all members of the General Assembly, statewide elected officials, and judges - into a defined contribution 401(k)-style pension plan upon election, re-election or retention. We must continue working to address the estimated $50 billion shortfall in the states two pension systems (SERS & PSERS), but this bill is a significant and necessary first step. SB 922 now moves to the House for consideration.
