The POWER Program is looking to hire a full time Employment Specialist. The hours for this position are Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday 9-5 and Wednesday 12:30-7:30. Qualifications: ◾BA or equivalent experience in vocational rehabilitation or job coaching ◾Clean, valid NYS Driver’s License Functions: ◾Provide vocational assessments ◾Assist program participants in goal planning, using a strength based, empowerment model ◾Work with participants in terms of the impact of employment on entitlements ◾Provide vocational skill development (resume writing, interview skills) ◾Provide competitive employment placement and on-site and/or off-site job coaching ◾Facilitate a weekly Supported Employment Group ◾Conduct street outreach ◾Provide hands on assistance, information, referral and linkage to persons in need of support ◾Work as a member of the Supported Employment Dept toward satisfying department goals ◾Complete paperwork and report accurately and on time as required by funding sources If you are interested, please submit an Internal Application to Human Resources.
