The PPP concept of Public Private and People seems to workvery well in the southern city of India where live. Welcome every section of the society men women, children, workers, CEO, CFO , Industrialist, doctors, Engineers, law profession, Govt Services, Pvt Orgns and specially the Urban “educated so called” youth of this beautiful city who contribute the most in such deteriorating state of affairs. In fact they are the driving force and the future to look forward Please join hands and form a human chain along this city in whichever part you are on a Sunday carrying placards and banners and take a pledge saying “Yes we Can” The message does not go for the good Samaritans who really care for the city for you must be carrying a weak heart. One must have strong resolution, determination, dedication, will power in doing so ie to make the city not worth living . so stay away the message Yes we can convert this once vibrant, silent, heritage city with its long coastline, temples, churches, mosques into a smoky, polluted, dusty, chaotic, congested place to live. You can organize weekly campaigns, Seminars, Presentations,Road shows programmes and others meetings to bring down curtains and lay to rest the city before 2018. Must consider lucky to see the city deteriorating. Have read about ruins of Hampi and ruins of AngorWat in text books and elsewhere . But a mute witness spectator to the ongoing ruins of this once beautiful coastal city on the East Coast of India . Thank one and all people, society, private,Govt for bringing slowly the curtains down on this once living city. Not before long less than 5 years this place can be a desert. Sincere, request everyone to show their mindset, attitude, determination, will power in destroying this city. It is very heartening to see. Wish to release a book the Travails and Ruins of city While write this piece of information it is disheartening to see the city where live deteriorating much into bad shape. Born and brought up could see how govt, people, society and organisation on the whole are ….this once 350 year heritage city to dump and dust. Yes am talking of the southern city of India .A compare to 1980 to 2013. Guess the city ; have not gone to the 50’s and 60’s Population from 40 lakhs to 65 lakhs Water problem or scarcity of water up from 36% to 76 % Infrastructure Roads close to 300+ where in 78% are in bad shape. City has expanded from 40 sq km to beyond 70 sq km Power situation deteriorating from where there was power availing, the last two years faced power shortage for 2 hours everyday. Wont be surprised if the condition improves from bad to worse ie from 2 hours to 6 hours Traffic population grown by 80%. Everyday some 400 new vehicles hit the road Encourage the youth to do great contribution over here Contributions to do do so are welcome. Suggestion boxes will be posted every nook and corner o f the city of how to make the city roads, polluted, smoky, traffic with honking , long queues from morning 9.00 am to 11. 00 pm in the night While it used to take to go to place of work a distance of 10 Kms /7 miles 25 minutes in the year 1995-96, with the mode of transport have, now a distance of 5-8 kms/4 miles in 45 minutes in year 2013 . Everything is inversely proportional. Food which used to be availing at mid size hotels and restaurants at competitive price and quality is now inversely proportional. Not only ones pays 2 and half times but the quality has deteriorated to such an extent. A calm city with not many high rise building now find only unplanned disorganized Buildings . People have lost discipline and common sense while drivingon the roads (.right from the CEO, Director to the man walking on the road same blood) Once used to be the most disciplined city. Education has deteriorated to such a level that one cannot compete into competitive engineering colleges forget about the IIT and others with merit, thanks to the efforts of the preceding Govt. Health care the less said the better. drains overflowing. Garbage strewn everywhere, littering by people in public places specially men . People’s mental state of affair, attitude, mindset the less said the better. A calm city with chirping of sparrows, crows and squirrels can only hear the honking of horns from morning to night. Have partially seemed to turn deaf at this rate . A commercial , dull, monotonous, damp , dirty , city it has turned into In summary people, society ,public, Pvt Organisations and successive govts have invariably contributed their might and best turned the city into a non living place. Wont be suprised if by another five - years whether this city will survive or go into ruins . Everyone is interested in running behind nothing from dawn to dusk in search of nowhere This is the tip of the iceberg of the travails of the city For being optimistic and pragmatic would like to turn around. Am not sure how, where, when , why will be able to do. Need support from good Samaritans to bring back this city other it is history. Time is running out. Note : Not to loose heart, the case also applies for the other cities across India each one going from bad to worse…. No prizes for guessing.
