The Pacific American Climate Fund (PACAM) is a United States of America AID (USAID) funded project which will last over five years and implementation commenced on 15 October, 2013. PACAM will provide USAID with a long-term platform to provide funding and technical support to build the resiliency of vulnerable communities across 12 Pacific nations to adapt to the negative impacts of climate change. It aims to achieve this by creating a grant-making facility that provides activity grants to qualified recipients, through an open and competitive process. Funded activities will support implementation of climate change adaptation measures across 12 Pacific nations: FSM; Fiji; Kiribati; Nauru; Palau; PNG; RMI; Samoa; Solomon Islands; Tonga; Tuvalu; and Vanuatu.. It is anticipated that likely PACAM grant recipients will be local, national and international CSOs, CSO networks and research institutions with climate change capability and strong community linkages. We anticipate URS managed programs including SPSN will assist identify highly relevant stakeholders and networks to support. PACAM Project funding is expected to be over 5 years via 3 grant sizes: 1.
