The Pakistan-Canada Association condemns terror. This group represents the Jamia Masjid. PAKISTAN CANADA ASSOCIATION AL JAMIA MASJID VANCOUVER November 24, 2014 STATEMENT ON TERROR ATTACKS IN CANADA AND CONDOLENCES TO THE FAMILIES OF OUR FALLEN SOLDIERS PATRICE VINCENT AND NATHAN CIRILLO On behalf of the Pakistan Canada Association and the Al Jamia Masjid Vancouver, we would like to offer our sincere condolences to the families of our fallen soldiers Warrant officer Patrice Vincent and Corporal Nathan Cirillo. Both men served their country with honour and dignity. Their deaths shake us all. Any death is a tragedy but when that death is from murder, the horrifying reality is often too hard to take. We join all Canadians in praying for them and their families at this difficult time. We stand together as proud Canadians and to the Government of Canada we extend our heartfelt thanks that a greater tragedy was averted by the swift and brave actions of our integrated security forces and in particular House of Commons Sergeant at Arms Kevin Vickers for his valiant actions. Our community along with all Canadians are in shock from these vicious attacks. As Muslims we are deeply outraged that the perpetrators of these acts used their deviated understanding of Islam as a justification for their actions. These deluded individuals and groups must be stopped and we, along with our brothers and sisters throughout the world and here in Canada are working together to promote the truth about Islam and to affect a strategy to counter the falsehoods and vile propaganda being spread. Islam is a religion of peace. Those that practice and understand our faith know that love and not hate is the message.
