The Pakistan branch of the Taliban terrorist organization has struck again. This time at a school for the children of Pakistani military personnel stationed in the often lawless Peshawar region of the nation officially known as The Federally Administered Tribal Areas. As reported on Dec. 16, 2014 by both the International Business Times (of London, England) and also by CNN via KMSS (of Shreveport, Louisiana), an estimated six or seven Taliban gunmen assaulted the Army Public School and Degree College, killing 141 people, 132 of them children. Quoting an anonymous military official, the terrorists charged onto school grounds with one of their number lighting off a suicide vest which killed a number of students. The unnamed official also stated, They burnt a teacher in front of the students in a classroom. They literally set the teacher on fire with gasoline and made the kids watch. In the meantime, Pakistani journalist Omar R. Quraishi of that countrys leading newspaper The Express Tribune has taken to Twitter to report that Some of the bodies brought to hospital during the Peshawar school attack have been headless. The reporter also sent via social media that seven Pakistani soldiers have also been killed in the Armys efforts to rescue the children and staff. Reportedly, five terrorists have been killed by the soldiers, but a search is still underway room-by-room in the many buildings that comprise the school. Of the roughly 100 that have been rescued so far, reports are leaking to the surface that as the killers prowled the school hallways they screamed to no one in particular Allahu Ahkbar! (Arabic for God is great). Specifically quoted was 14-year-old survivor of the attack, student Ahmed Faraz recalled hearing one the killers tell his comrades A lot of the children are under the benches. Kill them. Army spokesman General Asim Bajwa also took to Twitter to keep the nation comprised of the situation. As Bajwa stating in a rather chilling tweet, Most of the dead were 12 to 16 years old.
