The Parke County Sheriff’s Office arrested five people last Tuesday in connection with two active methamphetamine labs discovered in Liberty Township. The two active “one-pot” labs and several items related to the manufacture of methamphetamine were located inside the house on County Road 1125 North. Also found in the residence were heroin, marijuana and prescription medications. The Indiana State Police Meth Suppression Unit was called to the scene to disassemble the lab. Those arrested included: Charles Randolph, 29, of Crawfordsville; Bryan L. Kanedy, 22, of Kingman; Todd Wiatt, 21, of Kingman; John Wilson III 19, of Kingman; and Kylah M. Norris, 18, of Newport, all charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, Class B felony. Bond was set at $50,000, cash only, no 10%, except for Norris, whose bond was set at $50,000, 10% allowed. A pre-trial hearing date of November 7 was scheduled for each of the defendants and a preliminary November 19 jury trial date set as well. Laura Paul was appointed pauper attorney for Randolph; Mike Stites will represent Norris; Joel Wesch will defend Kanedy; Jeff Thomas will defendant Wiatt; and Jim Bruner will represent Wilson.
