The #Path of the #Gods (Sentiero degli Dei): From #Agerola to #Nocelle Walking in Heaven Il sentiero degli Dei is an amazing scenic route overlooking the #Amalfi Coast. It starts at #Bomerano and runs till #Nocelle, in the municipality of #Positano. It is perched on the slopes of Monte #Pertuso and is marked by red and white signs with the inscription 02. The name gives an idea how #spectacular is this route: green reliefs that plunge into the deep blue #sea, #picturesque #landscapes, pure nature mainly composed of the typical #Mediterranean scrub-land and oak #forests In the wildest areas there are caves and deep coves of limestone. There are simple steps to follow, panoramic stairways, but also more tortuous tracks, where you have to climb, steeply descent and will have dizzying views and glimpses of caves set into the rock wall. You pass the Vallone Grarelle until you reach finally the village of Nocelle . The route is Path of the Gods because of its fantastic position half way between sea and #sky with an average of 500 meters above sea level and it offers stunning views over Positano, Praiano, the island of #Capri and #Cilento. It is always advisable to follow the route from Agerola to Nocelle, because you walk slightly downhill and you will have in front of you the view of the Amalfi Coast! One suggestion: Agerola is famous for its #fiordilatte (type of fresh milk cheese), a particular type of #mozzarella fresca. Before to take the path stop at one of the gastronomic shops in the village to buy a focaccia and fior di latte: so you can stop along the way for a small #picnic... worthy to the gods!
