Mike Murdock WORD OF THE DAY: Jesus Is Rejected at Nazareth Jesus returned to Galilee in the power of the Spirit, and throughout all the region has spread its fame. He taught in their synagogues and everyone praised him. He went to Nazareth, where he had been created, and on the Sabbath day went into the synagogue, as was his custom. And he stood up to read. He was given the prophet Isaiah. He opened it and found the place where it is written: The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight to the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord . (Luke 4.14-19;). 1) - [Jesus said] Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. (Matthew 11:28). REFLECTION: At the end of the year is certainly nice to be invited to rest in Jesus. So, before we start a new year, lets stop and put our hopes, our future, our dreams, and especially our burdens at his feet, and allow it to give us rest. 2) - And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no one will take that day, ask me nothing Verily, verily I say unto you, ye shall ask any thing.. the Father, he will give it you in my name. (John 16: 22-23). REFLECTION: Why not received a response of certain questions we ask in prayer ??? God loves us and He has big plans for each of us, He wants to do great things through us, as he did through Jesus. We must have the courage to give glory to God when He is silent. Thats when we cling more firmly in the belief that when God is silent is because He loves us! No matter that we can not understand His love. One day we will understand it. When we see Jesus as He is, all of our questions and inquiries will be satisfied. When we see Him as He is, we will cover our face with her hands and prostraremos before him in worship, saying, Lord, I had no idea how You were so good to me! Forgive my rebellious questions and my insistent pleas. What the Lord Jesus actually said will be fulfilled: In that day ye shall ask me nothing. Bend your knees and do not be asking why and what for. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. (James 4: 7). There is a topic that most of us would rather avoid. And for good reason. However, I believe it is important to know the truth about this mysterious creature called Satan, Lucifer, or the devil. On the one hand, many appear to have an exalted view of him and give more power to him than he actually has. This is a mistake. On the other hand, there are those who disregard and even scoff at the idea of a real devil. Imagine a character who is around with horns, a red costume and a trident in his hands. Clearly this is not what the Bible teaches. The devil is a fallen, but powerful spirit, with a well-organized network of demonic forces. When we become Christians we recognize that there are right and wrong, good and evil. There are standards to which we must live accordingly. Then the devil begins to seduce us and seeks us down. But we can not focus on the devil. We must always look to God. The Bible says, Therefore submit to God Resist the devil and he will flee from you.. If we are in a state of humble obedience to God, if we submit to Him, we can resist the temptations of the devil. God put a protective covering around each Christian and He will not leave us to be tempted beyond what we can resist (see 1 Corinthians 10:13). We must not make the mistake of underestimating the opponent. He is real and dangerous. We must be wise to resist temptation and not be a return address. Let us draw near to God and resist the devil. As soon as you find him, let me know, so that I too may go and worship him (Matthew 2.8). Two groups of scholars undertook separate research. The first seems to have been something like astronomers. The other group of historians, experts in religion and the ancient Jewish scriptures. Research theme: find the Christ, the newborn King of the Jews, God had promised. How and who seek? Scholars of the starry sky used a strange environment, but they knew: a brighter star than the others. Received a revelation that the star would lead them to the child of God. Doctors of the Jewish religion not need to know more about the Messiah, but King Herod had to comb that where would that new sovereign. It was easy: the city of David, Bethlehem! It is written, is the story. But why Herod wanted to make sure of something so obvious? Because he was afraid of losing his throne to another. Two studies, two methods, two goals, one result: the true king of the Jews, the son of the most high God, born in Bethlehem of Judea! And you, read the Holy Scriptures for what? To get something that brings you benefits? Or want to know the simplicity of Gods love in Christ Jesus and worship him? God is not an object of research, but it lets you find for every one that the search through his son Jesus Christ, with a sincere heart, in order to worship him. To be wise is to seek God while he may find it. PRAYER OF OUR FATHER: Our Father which art in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come; let it be thy will be done on earth as in heaven; the our daily bread Give us this day; And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors; and lead us not into temptation; more deliver us from evil; {For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory forever, Amen}. SPECIAL MESSAGE; Garden of Life: A child playing in the park with his mother when he saw near there a beautiful garden. Colorful flowers, white, red, pink and yellow invited her to play. The child, without thinking, looked at those beautiful flowers and ran through the park in search of the garden. But, along the way, tripped on a rock and fell, and the fall cried, and the tears had help. A gentleman who was there, seeing the child in despair, came and sat down lovingly at his side. - Are you okay? - Said the man. - I fell while trying to get to the garden. I fell and Im sad, I think Ill give up to go there. - Said the child crying. The man looked penalized and sweetly said: - Honey, one day, long ago, I also fell to fetch the garden. I fell, and no longer got up, I gave up. I gave up the biggest reason that drove me. The flame that was in my chest screamed, Go, believe me! But I did not. I fell and gave up. Abandoned what my soul so sought. I suffered and learned. Listen: There in front, you see a garden. Do you feel thats where you would rather be. A voice within you say, Be, go, believe me! But remember son, there will always be stones in your path. Children, more calm, looked at the man and said, - Because the stones? The path could not be free? The man looked into the childs eyes, a look so sincere and serene that the child felt supported and protected, then the man said, - Everyone can get to the garden ... All. But the flowers are sensitive and delicate. They need to be protected from people unprepared that could destroy them. The nature put stumbling blocks to allow only those who have the sensitivity to understand that the stones were not made to prevent the arrival, but to be circumvented, come up there! The child wiped the tears, got up and went in search of the garden. You will not give up to meet your garden, just because some stones are there on your way. Remove and go ahead. Everyone can get ... is entirely up to you. Once you find the garden, do not forget to give a flower to the one you love.
