The Peace Thursday, 15 January 2015. Year VIII - National Edition THE KEYS OF WISDOM: The Single Suffering God Occurs When They doubt Him; The Most From Gods pleasure Believers find it. Mike Murdock WORD OF THE DAY: . But all who sin with defiance, is born in the land, is a resident alien, insults the Lord, and will be cut off from among his people Why have despised the word of the Lord and broken his commandments, must be eliminated; his guilt shall be upon him. (Numbers 15.30-31;). 1) - A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. (John 13:34). REFLECTION: Wow! Its a tall order, is not it ?! Jesus had just finished washing the feet of his disciples. In the coming hours, Judas would betray him with a kiss, Peter would deny Him three times and the other 10 disciples would abandon him to die alone. Even so. He washed their feet, knowing what was going to happen. He also died on the cross for them, knowing they would abandon it. I do not know if I love this way ... yet. But with the help of the Holy Spirit, renew my commitment to love others that hurt me or disappoint. I will try to make peace in relationships where I hurt or disappoint others. 2) - lamp to my feet is your word, and a light unto my path. * (Psalm 119: 105). REFLECTION: God is light and His word illuminates our minds, our hearts, our lives. When we meditate on the word, all darkness, darkness, suffering, deception and lies begin to be eliminated from our lives. We come to look at life with new eyes, and begin to find better ways and new opportunities every day. ********************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************** Be Salgado: You are the salt of the earth [...]. (Matthew 5:13). In the ancient world, salt was used as a preservative. Has remained so. Ham, corned beef, olives, cucumber and even anchovies are preserved in brine, a salt water solution. The effect of salt is to stop the deterioration of food, avoiding its decomposition. Now when Jesus said we are to be salt means you and I, as Christians, we should strive to be conservatives wherever we are. For example, if you are a parent, can guide their children in what they watch on TV and what they read. You can teach them Christian values and live as an example to them. If you are the only Christian in your family, it is probably always the person who is invited to the blessing over the Christmas meal. Thats good, because it means that they realize that you are a Christian. You also need to be salt in the place where you work. You can refuse to gossip about co-workers can do their job without complaint and can serve as a stimulus to others. You may see a lot of guys together telling jokes, but when you arrive, suddenly, everyone is silent. Why is that? Because they know that you are a representative of Jesus. You functions as a preservative in this situation. Maybe you are a Christian student in your classroom and must defend Christian values. You may refuse to participate in harmful activities and tell your friends why. Doing so you will be salt. I did not say that this would make it popular. He said youre being salt. Sometimes its hard, but you need to do this. As you let the Holy Spirit help you and guide you, you will be a good and salty preservative for all those around you. QUOTE OF THE DAY: The cure for boredom is curiosity. There is no cure for curiosity. Ellen Parr CLEAR: Bible Reading numbers 11.4-15 WHERE I be able to? Wherell get meat for all these people? (Nm 11.13a). Moses reached its point of exhaustion. He could not stand it - was already leading the people of Israel since their departure from Egypt. The people had complained and complained many times, and now again complained because they had no meat to eat. Just before God had punished the people by eliminating some because of their complaints, but then again the people grumbled. Moses could take no more and prayed to the Lord. Vented before God because I thought it was him I needed to solve the demand of the people to eat meat. Wherell get meat for all these people?. We can learn some lessons from this episode: 1) Exhaustion, fatigue, stress, reach the limits of their strength is not only something of the times, but has always existed. So if you are in this situation today, learn from Moses. 2) Moses prayed to God and gave all their problems to him. He was pretty honest and opened his heart to God. You can and should also do this. Tell God all that is troubling. 3) God solved every issue that Moses set before him (also read the following text in Nm 11.16-35) The load that Moses was carrying was divided over 70 leaders of the people. The meat that the people wanted to eat was provided. So Moses had solved these problems. You also need to trust God and wait for his action, so each of your problems will be solved delivered to him. The sad thing about this story is that the people of Israel was free from slavery and it was enough to stand firm on the road to the new land, the Promised Land by God, and live his new life, but they were to miss the old days in Egypt just as they had more food there. Totally forgot the new benefits that God had for them. Do not let the old man of your life run down the new God for you! PRAYER OF OUR FATHER: Our Father which art in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come; let it be thy will be done on earth as in heaven; the our daily bread Give us this day; And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors; and lead us not into temptation; more deliver us from evil; {For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory forever, Amen}. SPECIAL MESSAGE; The odds are in easily (Rubens Sakay). Life provides us with adversity for free, without request. The problems knock on our door. On the other hand, the courage to face them and the solutions for each, we have to look for them with determination. As they say: the problems are in, but the solutions we need to search them. In short, if we simply stopped, we will be overwhelmed by the problems, and the simple act of staying stagnant is already a choice, in fact, a bad choice. We need to put ourselves in motion, reflect, analyze, decide and put into service all our strengths and virtues to face the difficulties knocking on our door. When we choose the insulation under our duvet, we allow problems to accumulate and amplify especially in our mind. The negative things tend to stick in our head like chewing gum, and we have to make a huge effort to drive them from the stage of our minds. Do not let all the problems come up to the stage at one time. Isolate, let him act, show all he has to say, and analysis solution that can give him. The more we look at a particular problem with serenity, the lower its power to frighten us. Much of what we believe to be problems, is only in our minds, and when we played the spotlight on him, what haunts us revealed only a harmless shadow. But we have to do our part, as starvation always puts us at a disadvantage. The problems may be a mirage, but we have to get to them and mirá them head to figure it out. In other words, stay away with the frightened and worried look no it is no use. Take your responsibility for your life, and face the issues head-on. You will discover more able to deal with them, and several of them will evaporate at the lowest confrontation. LETS PRAY: Dear Father thank You that Your word is so complete, and is really able to supply ALL our needs. What good thing is to meditate in thy word when we are lost, and then get an answer, I know the Lord is pleased when I consult bible amid a difficult decision, because this attitude demonstrates faith and dependence on God. Thanks for everything and I always remember to meditate on the Word and praying without ceasing. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
