The Peril of CHERYL...... I feel the need to let YA all in on something! People keep stopping me and asking how I am doing! All 4 of them! Here goes my story... On June 12 of this year, I cut my leg open. 11 stitches . Oweeeee.after 3 bouts of deep vein blood clots, I have damaged my veins in my lower legs. So I have Venous Insufficiency. My skin is tender, thin. My blood does not want to pump back up! Causes edema, swelling, discoloration and other things! Add to this condition a trauma ( lower leg cut). Within2 weeks so painful. Went for check up for my recent hysterectomy, end of June, and my gynecologist noticed I was in pain! I show her my leg! Stinging so bad! She removes the stitches! Tells me to get my butt into the doctors! I develop MRSA. My leg and pain get worse n worse and after seeing a dr from Galesburg Wound Care Clinic, very passive treatment, almost NONE! I go from intermittent pain to every minut of the day pain! My leg goes from cut to entire area between knee n ankle swelled, black/ red streaks, PAIN!!! Pitted edema...I get referred to another dr in town, he gets ball rolling. Go to my second visit to Iowa City tomorrow. I spent first week of October in hospital getting super duper antibiotics IV. I think after 4 months, I may be making progress.....asking for PRAYERS, thats all! Prayers!
