The Philae lander has now gone into hibernation as its main battery has run down and without enough Sun on its solar panels to recharge. But despite the setbacks caused by the lander bouncing as it hit the surface it has managed to send back some amazing images and complete its primary science mission with all instruments on board. Well done Philae! Lets keep our fingers crossed that as the comet nears the Sun, Philaes batteries may recharge enough to bring the lander back to life.
