The Philharmonic Orchestra performed beautifully on July 5th - First Friday Celebration in Historic Downtown Fredericksburg, Market Square. With a standing ovation begging for more, the crowd enjoyed the ever popular “Starts and Stripes Forever” and participated with a rousing round of clapping, led by Maestro Kevin Bartram. The weather was perfect, although a little on the warm side, with a light breeze and music filling the air, delighting the crowd. Former Miss America, Carissa Cameron, sang with the orchestra. This wraps up our concert season until October 19, when the Philharmonic will feature Classical Music’s Bad Boys, including Stravinsky’s Firebird Suite.
