The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that as of 10 a.m. Wednesday, Queenie was spotted at 210 km East of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur. Bagyong Queenie is packing maximum winds of 45 kph near the center and is forecast to move west at 24 kph. It is expected to make landfall in the Northern Mindanao area Wednesday evening and is expected to be 35 km North of Dipolog City by Thursday morning. By Friday morning, Queenie is expected to be at 105 km West of Puerto Princesa and will be outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) by Friday evening.
