The Place I know a place. . . of solitude yet alive and aware the occasional buzzing of a bee the shadow of a deer behind a tree the lonely rat snake hangs from the roof humans bore him but he shows himself on a whim banana spider blocks a sidewalk showing off his industrious efforts of huge intricate creations web ensnared with several donations inside church the preacher is preaching loudly and with flourishes a timid mouse will soon appear run down the aisle in fear I know a place. . . where trees hold hands to shelter us where prayers are raised and God is praised I know a place to walk for meditation and reflection where Heavens light fills a space and I am filled with his grace I know a place to go where peace abides and I can show my vulnerable side for this place I give thanks
