The Politics of Irony in East Africa is Kenya’s Minister for Foreign Affairs Amina Mohamed, Djibouti’s Foreign Affairs Minister Mahamud Ali Yusuf, The IGAD Executive Secretary Eng. Mahboub Maalim and IGAD Special Envoy to Somalia Ambassador Mohamed Abdi Affey are all Somali and they met in Mogadishu, Somalia at SyL Hotel with the hosting Acting Somalia Minister of Foreign Affairs and Investment Promotion H.E Abdirahman Beileh, and Ethiopia’s Foreign Affairs Minister and current chairman of the IGAD Council of Ministers Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, South Sudan Foreign Affairs Minister Dr. Barnaba Marial Benjamin, Uganda’s State Minister of Foreign Affairs Asuman Kiying and and Senior Government representatives from Sudan. The other irony is the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia has opened the meeting while the Somali Prime minister closes! Power sharing or sharing the responsibilities?
