The Lenten retreat is a tradition, but its the first time it has been held in a residence outside of Rome. Leading the spiritual exercises was Fr. Angelo de Donatis, who is in charge of priestly formation. Before leaving the Pope said a few words. POPE FRANCIS We are all sinners, but we all want to follow Jesus more closely, without losing hope in the promise, and without losing our sense of humor. Even though we sometimes greet Him only from afar. Thank you, Father.” He left the premises at 10:30 a.m. in the same bus along with Cardinals and Bishops who also took part in the retreat. Is there room? After about forty minutes, Pope Francis arrived to the Eternal City. Dozens of people were already waiting for him at the Vaticans entrance and from the bus, the Pope waved to all of them.
