The Pope’s October Intentions: That the Lord may grant peace to those parts of the world most battered by war and violence. That World Mission Day may rekindle in every believer zeal for carrying the Gospel into all the world. For the people of our Town especially those who live on Kay Brow, Mellor Brow, Aragon Drive, Kenyon St and Mary St. In our Deanery Prayer we pray for parish of St. Patrick, Rochdale, and for Father Joe Sweeney, their parish priest. Edmund Daly, James Eyles, Veronica Prior, Joan Dobson, Roy Fletcher, Brian Taylor, Peter Travers, Hannah Devereux, Rita Stanley, Roy Davenport, Leo McCarthy, and all the sick, and Father Kevin Griffin (Parish Priest of Holy Cross, Patricroft, and St. Matthew’s, Winton), Edith Taylor, Warren Taylor, Ivy Howarth, Joan Pickles, Sean Cushen, Veronica Jackson and all who died recently and Clara Taylor, Ken Johnson, Teresa Kenny, John Barrett, John Higgins, Kevin John Higgins, John Schofield, Eileen Thornton, Matthew, Mary and Valsmma, and all whose anniversaries occur at this time.
