The Popular Front Party (Busia Danquah Tradition) was the main - TopicsExpress

The Popular Front Party (Busia Danquah Tradition) was the main opposition political party in Ghana during the Third Republic (1979-1981). In elections held on 18 June 1979, PFP presidential candidate Victor Owusu got 29.9% against Liman PNPs 35% of the total votes in the first round. The elections was to go for a run off and the party you claim was also having the same traditions with NPP went and supported Limans Peoples National Party (PNP). The elections ended 38%-62% in favour of Liman. So the bone of contention here is, If PaacWillies UNC was a UPs offshoot why didnt they support the Victor Owusu in the round off??? UNC just like NDP of Fonkar fame seperated themselves from PFP. This fact is NOT contestable unless you want to twist facts. #facts_are_sacred
