The Post Harvest celebration just got a swift kick in the buttocks for me. When I wasnt looking, my friend took his own life. I will never understand how that happens. So now Im going through all of the classic stages of grief recovery. At first I was totally in denial. Then I got real angry then really really sad. I just cannot figure out how I had missed the signs. I was so looking forward to meeting up with Mark Vreeland again and share our dream of endless cannabis fields in Oregon. Mark struggled with diabetes and depression. He came by here and stayed with us for a few days last year. He seemed happy and energized then. We kept in fairly close contact...especially here on FB... then just as I was starting to look for him, I saw a comment from his daughter about the suicide. I can/will get through this but my heart aches terrible right now. I want the pain to stop before my heart explodes. Please GOD make it stop!!! Now I must get and remain composed because in 20 days Ill be going to see one of the most important people in my life. He is the source of my inspiration... Sadly, I cannot speak of details now for reasons of security, but I will be joyfully talking about it either while there... or upon my return. PS: Despite complications, harvest went GREAT!
