Colberts show on Comedy Central is already based in the Big Apple. So is CBS Corp. CBS isnt exactly struggling. It reported revenues of $3.86 billion on operating income of $818 million in the first quarter of 2014. Neither is Colbert, who earns upward of $10 million a year at Comedy Central and is poised to make even more at CBS. CBS already gets a lot of state money. Its production arm received $18 million in tax credits for TV shows the last time the state deigned to report them.
