The Power of Giving When September comes I think of two things... 1. Back to School (routines) and 2. Christmas is Coming!!! Some people tend to think shoveling snow, cold and darkness falls upon us. I think ... giving! I get so excited when I have an excuse to give a little present here and there. I try to continue this throughout the year and for some reason the holiday season just allows me to be okay spending that extra dollar on someone that I truly care about or someone in need. The act of giving is always starts with a single thought and then follows with a simple genuine action. These actions are the most powerful ones because they come from the heart. There are no other intention behind the gesture but pure love. Something as simple as holding the door for someone, saying hello or giving them a smile will brighten someones day. We never know what people are going through in their lives and a simple positive gesture can only make their day brighter. I know I have been having a very challenging week, so naturally I go to chocolate to sooth my soul. In the middle of me purchasing my stress chocolate, I was giving much more than that. The lady who was helping me gave me smiles, small comments and a bubbly personality. I felt 100% better by the time I got the chocolate than how the chocolate actually made me feel after. I am very thankful for that lady in that moment to pass some of her bright personality over to me. Giving is such a powerful gift that we cannot control how far it goes. When someone gives something positive to someone else they naturally feel happy (its a scientific fact) and then the ball starts rolling of naturally giving a genuine positive action. Its never too early to think of what we can do for someone special in our lives, someone we just met or someone in passing. I continue to see the power of giving throughout people I meet in Arbonne, who genuinely want you to succeed in this business. That is one reason why I joined... to give. To give people the feeling of beauty, of strength and choice. To choose to live their lives they way they want.
