The Power to Ignore! John 6:7 Philip replied, “Even if we worked for months, we wouldn’t have enough money[a] to feed them!” *The moment you express what you want to do, someone around you will attempt to shoot it down. *Philip saw the solution via the optics of conventional means. In other words, he suffered from a myopic faith, a limited faith or possibly in that statement, no faith at all. He connected money with the solution. Yet Jesus exhibits a characteristic all Christ followers carry , the power to ignore. Yes, there are times we must confront, address and rebuke. Yet Christian maturity enables us to discern and at times, especially with those around and closest to us, engage the power to ignore. Ignore the naysayers. Ignore the haters. Ignore the dreamkillers. For at the end of the day, the miracle that comes from heaven will always speak louder than the words that can come from our mouths.
