The Prayer Closet Almighty God, we enter into Your presence this day with thanksgiving in our hearts. You are the God of our salvation. You are our confidence and our great hope, and we know that in the morning You hear our voice, O Lord; so in the morning we prepare for You and watch and wait for You to speak. Lord speak the thoughts that You think towards us; the thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give us an expected end. Speak to our hearts Lord, Your great unconditional love, and let it be shed abroad therein, that it would flow over into every thought, every intent, every desire, every thing that we should do this day! Speak, O God, to our situations and circumstances, and turn “what is” into what You purposed it “to be”, before we allowed our will to prevail over Yours. O God, we’ve looked into the perfect law of liberty this morning, and we desire to continue therein; so speak a word Lord, and grant us the strength to be not hearers only, but doers of Your word! Speak Lord, and we’ll hear; speak Lord, and we’ll receive; speak Lord, and we’ll obey! In the matchless name of Jesus the Christ, we do pray and declare it all. Amen.
