The Pretentious Businessman is becoming a stereotype that pisses me off more and more each day. In lalaland Camosun business school, Ive noticed QUITE a few students who dress formally (for freaking HR classes) and pipe up with Best of Captain Obvious Vol. III quotes. Later, Im added by them on LinkedIn, where they are CEO, CFO, AND President of Dynamic Marketing Solutions Inc. of which I later find out they make cheap websites for you on a Google website builder. Like, youre going to fail at business. Following what the teachers say as well, will make you fail at business. Ive never met more delusional teachers than in a class called Agreement Seeking in the Workplace and everybody just eats it up like gospel. Business and simply making money is about letting go of your ego, honesty, humility, experience, and patience. My entire grad class probably thinks they walk out of school straight into an executive office.
