The Pretty Things are one of those British bands that never really made a dent in the US event though they have been around in one iteration or another for over 50 years. They started out as a typical British blues band (two of their songs are covered on Bowies Pin-Ups album), and shifted towards psychedelia. At one point, they transformed themselves into a band called Electric Banana for a film role. Phil May has been the lead singer of the band all through the years.
