Curatorial Assistant Position Opening The Pro Football Hall of Fame is seeking a museum professional to full fill our position opening of “Curatorial Assistant.” This position will assist the museum with the care of both archival and artifact collections and also assist the museum with its internal and traveling exhibit programing. General Description of Duties: - Assist and support the duties and objectives of the Museum Collections and Archives Department - Assists in the installation of exhibits in the Pro Football Hall of Fame - Assists in the acquisition and registration of the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s Museum and Archival Collection - Assist in the development and implementation of collections efforts between the Pro Football Hall of Fame and NFL Member clubs - Assists in the creation of mounts for collections on display - Responsible for the shipping, packing, preparation, installation and de-installation of all artifacts and historic documents for the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s traveling exhibit program - Assist in the administration of the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s traveling exhibit program Responsibilities: Major activities which must be performed in order to properly carry out the purposes of the position: - Administrate the shipping, installation, and de-installation of Pro Football Hall of Fame’s national traveling exhibit Gridiron Glory, Pro Football and the American Spirit and future exhibition initiatives - Assist the Collections Curator and Archivist in the acquisition of potential new artifacts and documents - Travel to NFL Cities to help teams coordinate their collections programming - Assist in the exhibit preparation of all displays at the Pro Football Hall of Fame - Assist the Registrar and Archivist in the accessioning of annual donations to the Museum - Assists in the maintenance and care of all Pro Football Hall of Fame exhibits. Key Goals: - Assist in the achievement of AAM Accreditation - Ensure all traveling exhibit artifacts and historic documents are packed and displayed properly - Carry out the mission of the Pro Football Hall of Fame Education: Degrees: Master’s Degree required Preferred area of concentration: Museums Work Experience: Experience in Museums or Halls of Fame required. Experience in the installation of exhibits and displays also required.
