The Prophetic Ink But you, dear friends, build yourself up in your most holy faith and pray in the Holy Spirit Jude :20 (NIV) Jude, a servant of Jesus Christ and brother of James( see verse 1 & Luke 6:16, Acts 1:13), wrote one of the shortest letters in the bible. His message contains deep wisdom and knowledge that comes from the Father. His letter is more informative and guides people to guard against ignorance and arrogance. He wants us to persevere, and be cautious but obedient. This letter is relevant to our current situations. The gospel is flooded by ungodly teachers who do not teach people the truth, they dont encourage holiness in their preaching. They are all about blessings and offerings, these hardens manys hearts as repentance is never preached. These ungodly men are tarnishing the image of Christ, mostly the faith that was entrusted to all saints( see verse 3-4). Holiness is key and leads us to pray meaningful prayers according to Gods will( see Romans 8:26-27 & Galatians 4:6). Do you know that most prayers and requests from many amongst us are not in line with Gods will? This is because many are selfish, hardened, stiff-necked and ignorant. Many dont want to be corrected and often make requests based on their selfish ambitions which has nothing to do with the expansion of Gods kingdom. The Spirit should lead for us to have meaningful prayers. We must also be seen chasing the goal which is being holy and adhering to the principles of godliness(see Ephesians 6:18).Be reminded that the battle is spiritual and must be fought. In Gods strength, depending on the word and on God through prayer. Lets refrain from making lousy requests because of our disobedience. Lets realign ourselves to the truth and be careful of ungodly men who are feeding us false doctrines. The gospel isnt about cars, houses, tithes, offerings, marriages and all other social needs but, this has to be done in accordance with Gods will. We must know what, why and when to ask. Many cant even pray for others to receive salvation but, the only time they make requests is when they have their own needs. Are we that selfish and heartless? Lets allow Jesus to revamp us... May this message reach your hearts... SHARE WITH YOUR NEIGHBORS!!!
