The Pueblo Youth Employment Council (PYEC) is pleased to announce the launch of a community based Web site, myyouthlink for youth. My Youth Link provides information and links to resources that can assist youth with living skills, finding employment, staying in school, choosing a career and more. The mission of the Pueblo Youth Employment Council is to guide and support youth to become empowered toward their education, career planning, and employment success through involvement with local businesses, community leaders, and youth organizations, providing employers with a future workforce that is ready for the competing changes in our world economy. PYEC members include individuals from Boys & Girls Club, Care & Share, CSU Pueblo, Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, El Pueblo Boys & Girls Ranch, El Pueblo Technology & Learning Services, GOAL Academy, Job Corps, Posada, Pueblo Community College, Pueblo Alliance for Healthy Teens, Pueblo County Department of Social Services, Pueblo City-County Health Department, Pueblo City-County Library District, Pueblo City Schools, Pueblo School District 70, Pueblo Housing Authority, Pueblo Workforce Center, Spanish Peaks Mental Health Center and TRIO Alliance. We look forward to hearing your thoughts on how we can improve the site. We will be adding volunteer opportunities for youth to My Youth Link in the coming weeks.
