The Queensland Sports Awards were held last night in Brisbane, with around 700 people in attendance. We extend our congratulations to LAQ Life Member Alison Quirke, who received the 2014 Service to Sport Award. Alison was presented this honour for her service to Little Athletics over the past 30+ years. She is a truly deserving recipient of this award. Congratulations Alison! We also extend our congratulations to Noosa Little Athletics Centre Manager Val Hooper who was selected as a finalist in the Sport Volunteer of the Year category. Well done Val!
