The Queensland State General Election has been announced for 31 January 2015. You will not be able to vote in person in any Embassy or consulate in Europe. All eligible voters must apply for a postal vote from the Electoral Commission Queensland website as soon as possible at ecq.qld.gov.au Once your application for a postal vote has been accepted in Australia, ballot papers will be sent from Australia to your address in Denmark. Please note that sending ballot papers from Australia to Europe could take 6-8 working days. The envelope containing your completed ballot papers must be postmarked no later than the day before the election for your vote to be lodged.
